Today is September 23rd my name is Tom Heath and you’re listening to “Life Along the Streetcar”. This week we discuss an underground artist collaborative and all sorts of sports.
In August of 2017 a handful of artists decided to join forces and find a space in which they could create, collaborate and celebrate. The location was eventually selected in the basement of the Steinfeld warehouse and the group became a literal unground artist movement. They named this effort Subspace and it has been steadily growing, now up to 11 members with room for 1 more, but than they are maxed.
One of the founding members, Sean Wilcox, invite me into the Subspace lounge to share his part of the vision and how this group of random friends and strangers have gelled into a collective which is stronger than the individual.
