Life Along the Streetcar with Tom Heath from The Heath Team Nova Home Loans

We speak with Helen Gomez, Executive Director of Ben’s Bells. We’ll find out how tragedy has led to hope and what it takes to be intentionally kind.

Today is June 13th, my name is Tom Heath and you’re listening to “Life Along the Streetcar”.

Each and every Sunday our focus is on Social, Cultural and Economic impacts in Tucson’s Urban Core and we shed light on hidden gems everyone should know about. From A Mountain to the U of A and all stops in between. You get the inside track- right here on 99.1 FM, streaming on DowntownRadio.org– we’re also available on your iPhone or Android using our very own Downtown Radio app.

Reach us by email [email protected] — interact with us on Facebook @Life Along the Streetcar and follow us on Twitter @StreetcarLife

Our intro music is by Ryanhood and we exit with music from Professor Elemental and Mr. Frisbee, “Nice Hope.” And today, we’re going to start the show with some softball questions.

Interview with Helen Gomez, Ben’s Bells Executive Director

You’ve seen the Be Kind stickers. You’ve seen the murals and they are all tied to an organization called Ben’s Bells. Many of you know that name, but for those of you that don’t, we wanted to go a little bit more in depth with Helen Gomez, the Executive Director. We’ll find out about how this organization began and what they’re focused on, because it’s not just kindness, that’s a big piece of it, but Ben’s Bells is working on a lot of different efforts in our community and Helen’s going to share those with us.
